Your file stays with you
Life on Track is a private household file that runs in your own web browser. Your household details, health notes, document locations, caregiving information, and final wishes are saved on your own device. Life on Track does not store this private file on our servers.
Life on Track does not receive, store, or process the private information you enter into your household file. Payment, email delivery, and website hosting may involve third-party services, but your private household file is not stored on Life on Track servers.
Life on Track may receive: your email address, purchase confirmation, and license or support information you send us. Life on Track does not receive: your household file contents, medical notes, documents, passwords, or backup files.
No account required
You do not create an account to build your file. Because there is no account, there is no central database of your family’s private information to be lost or breached on our side.
You control your backup
You decide if and when to create a backup copy of your file, and where to keep it — a USB drive, your own cloud storage, or a copy shared with someone you trust. If you clear your browser data or switch devices without a backup, your file cannot be recovered by us, because we never had it.
Password-Protect Your Backup
Add a password to the backup file you download or share, so only someone with that password can open it. Life on Track never stores your password — if it’s lost along with your printed recovery card, that backup cannot be opened by anyone, including us. That’s what keeps it private. Your open app on this device is never affected — you can never be locked out of your own information.
App Lock (PIN Screen)
Add a simple PIN so Life on Track asks for it every time it opens on this device — a good option for a shared computer or tablet. App Lock only covers the screen; it never touches your information. Forget your PIN, and you can always turn it off and set a new one — nothing is ever lost.
The Free 5-Minute Family Readiness Check & email
If you get the Free 5-Minute Family Readiness Check, we use your email address only to send occasional Life on Track updates. The download itself appears right on the page — it is not emailed to you. You can unsubscribe at any time. Please do not submit private household, medical, legal, or financial details through that form.
Payments
When you purchase, payment is handled by a third-party checkout provider. We receive confirmation of your purchase but do not store your full payment-card details. We receive the information needed to confirm your purchase and send your setup email or license key. We do not receive or store your private household file.
Website analytics
The lifeontrack.store marketing website uses Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, to count page visits. It uses no cookies and collects no personal information — we only see anonymous totals such as how many people visited a page. This applies to the website only; the Life on Track app itself contains no analytics or tracking of any kind.
Updates
Product updates may be shared by email or through the latest Life on Track app link. Updates do not give Life on Track access to your private household file.
Do not store passwords
Life on Track is a map of where things are — not a password manager. Please do not store account passwords in your file. Record where accounts exist and where trusted access instructions are kept.
