Free Readiness CheckGet Life on Track

Here’s exactly how it works, start to finish.

Life on Track is simple to set up and easy to return to. You download it like an app, build it out at your own pace with a guide at every step, keep it safe on your device and back it up wherever you choose, then hand it off the moment your family needs it. No account. No subscription.

Guided, not just a template. Private, not a subscription. Kept together, not scattered across drawers and inboxes.

How it works

Four simple steps.

One is getting Life on Track onto your device. The other three are the ones Life on Track shows you on its Home screen — Start, Protect, Share.

Go at your own pace — you can stop and return whenever you are ready.

Step 1 · Download it

Buy once. Download it like an app.

After your one-time purchase, you download Life on Track straight from your browser and install it on your device — like an app, but with no App Store and no account to create. Installing comes first, before you add anything private; from then on it lives on your phone, tablet, or computer and opens with a tap.

No login. No subscription. It’s simply yours.

The Family Readiness Toolkit is a one-time $149 — choose only the add-ons you need, or get everything in the Complete Family Bundle for $219. Compare options →

What “download into an app” means:

  • Installs from your browser — no App Store needed
  • Installed first, before you add anything private
  • An icon on your home screen or desktop
  • Works offline once it’s on your device
  • No account and no password to Life on Track
  • Works on phone, tablet, Mac, or PC

Downloaded once, it’s ready whenever you need it.

Step 2 · Start

You never start from a blank page.

Every section tells you what to consider, and a complete fictional Parker family sample shows you what a finished one looks like.

Prefer to be walked through it? Guided Setup is eleven short steps — you, your emergency contacts, your trusted person, home access, and one key paper. Everything is optional except your name, and you can stop and come back whenever you like.

Good enough today beats scattered forever.

Step 3 · Protect

On your device, and backed up wherever you choose.

Protect means one thing: make a Backup Copy, and keep it somewhere separate from this device. Your file lives on your device and never on our servers — so where the backup lives is your decision, not ours.

Back up to the cloud, if you want

Save your backup to a cloud service you already use — Google Drive, iCloud, Dropbox, wherever. Your account, your choice. Life on Track never touches it.

Or keep it fully offline

Prefer nothing in the cloud? Back up to a USB drive or an external disk and keep your file entirely in your own hands.

Not sure it would hold up? Review & Backup keeps short check-ups on hand — including a practice restore, so the first real one is never the first try.

Private because you control the backup.

Step 4 · Share

This is what all of it turns into.

One moment: someone you trust needs your file, and they find exactly what they need — without searching.

In Life on Track this step is called Share, but preparing a Trusted Person Packet is not the same as sending it. You decide whether, when and how they receive it — email it, share it from your own cloud, or hand over a USB drive. Nothing leaves your device unless you send it.

And then?

Then you just use it.

After the setting up, it is just a file you open. Because the insurance is due. Because the sitter needs the alarm code. Because the school wants the same form it wanted last August, or nobody can remember which doctor your mother saw in the spring.

None of that is preparing for anything — it is a household running. And it is the thing that quietly keeps the file true, so the harder question already has an answer waiting.

If you ever want a hand, Setup Guides holds short, focused guides you can open in any order, and a quick review will tell you what looks out of date. If you would rather not, it never asks again.

Private by design

Your information stays with you.

Your Life on Track file is stored on your device, and you control your own backup. Life on Track keeps zero of your family’s information on our servers — no household details, health notes, documents, care instructions, or final wishes. Checkout and website activity may be handled by third-party services, but your private file stays with you.

Shared only with the people you choose.

  • No account required to build your file
  • No monthly subscription
  • No cloud database of your private household information
  • No data about your household stored by Life on Track
  • You control your own backup — cloud or USB, your choice
  • You decide what to print, back up, or share

Private by design. Practical by purpose.

What Life on Track is, and is not.

It is

  • A private household command center
  • A place to look things up on an ordinary week
  • A guided family information file
  • Easy to print, back up, and hand off
  • Yours to control and back up

It is not

  • A password manager
  • A legal or estate-planning service
  • A medical record system
  • A cloud storage vault

For legal, medical, financial, or tax decisions, speak with a qualified professional.

Give your family the gift of knowing

You will never regret being organized,
and neither will they.

Download it, start with what you know, protect it with a Backup Copy, and prepare a packet for someone you trust. Start with the Family Readiness Toolkit for your own household, or get everything with the Complete Family Bundle — your family deserves to know what to do, who to call, and where to look.
