You’re in the right place.
Install Life on Track on your device, enter the license key from your setup email, and create your first backup. You will be up and running in minutes.
Install Life on Track on your device.
Life on Track is installed before you add any private information. You install it straight from your browser onto your own phone, tablet, or computer — there is nothing to buy from an app store, and your file is never stored on our servers. After you choose a file on the pricing page, your setup email includes your license key.
Install on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac using Safari. On a Windows computer, use Chrome or Edge. On Android, use Chrome. The app shows you the right step for the device you are on.
Install Life on Track
Open the link, then install it on this device.
Open the app →Use your license key to open your file.
Your setup email has the key and the app link. Four steps and you are in.
Open your setup email
After checkout, look for your Life on Track setup email. It has your license key and the app link. Open that link — or use the Open the app button above — on the device you plan to use.
Install it on that device
Life on Track asks you to install before you add anything private. Follow the step for your device in the next section — it takes about a minute.
Enter your license key
Open Life on Track from its new icon and enter your key. It unlocks the Family Readiness Toolkit, Complete Family Bundle, or any add-ons you purchased.
Start the Guided Setup
The eleven-step Guided Setup covers the essentials, or open any Helpful guide you need from Home. Every step is optional and skippable; you can add more later.
Install it before you add anything private.
Installing is a required step, not an extra one. The browser window is there to get Life on Track onto your device — your real information belongs in the installed app. Find your device below; if you open Life on Track somewhere it cannot be installed properly, it points you to the right browser for that device rather than let you start.
Your license activates Life on Track on up to 3 devices, never expires, and you can deactivate a device yourself anytime from inside the app. Devices do not sync automatically; move your information when you choose, using your backup file.
iPhone or iPad, use Safari
Open the app link in Safari, tap the Share button (the square with an up arrow), then choose Add to Home Screen. Open Life on Track from that new icon — not from the Safari tab — and carry on from there.
Mac — use Safari
Open the app link in Safari, then choose File → Add to Dock. Open Life on Track from the Dock icon and carry on from there.
Windows computer — use Chrome or Edge
Chrome: Choose the install icon in the address bar. If it is not shown, open ⋮ → Cast, save, and share → Install page as app.
Edge: Choose App available in the address bar. If it is not shown, open … → Apps → Install this site as an app.
Confirm Install, then open Life on Track from its installed icon. The first time it opens, choose your Life on Track folder. A folder inside Documents is ideal; keep it in the same place.
Android phone or tablet — use Chrome
Open the link in the full Chrome app — not Samsung Internet, and not the small browser window inside email or another app. You can keep Samsung Internet on your device; just do not use it to open or install Life on Track. Use the Install Life on Track button on the page. If that button is not shown, first check the Home Screen, the bottom favorites row, and All Apps for an existing Life on Track icon — open that one, and do not choose Add to Home screen again, because that can create another shortcut.
The first time it opens, choose Internal storage (or This device) → Documents and confirm that location. Life on Track creates or reopens the Life on Track folder inside Documents for you. If Android asks how long to allow folder access, choose Allow on every visit.
When you are finished, choose Save & Leave inside Life on Track. It verifies your latest folder save and asks Android to close the app. If Android keeps the app open, use the Home gesture or Home button; to remove it from Recent Apps, swipe it away.
The first 20 minutes.
You don’t need to do everything at once. Start here and you’ll already have something your family could use.
Add your key people
Spouse or partner, adult children, a trusted neighbor, and your main doctor. Just names and phone numbers to start.
Fill in the Emergency Info
Allergies, medications, blood type, and who has medical decision-making authority. This is the page a trusted person needs most.
Map where your papers are kept
You’re not uploading documents — just noting where the will, insurance, and IDs live (home safe, kitchen folder, attorney).
Create your backup
Open Review & Backup in the top toolbar and choose Create New Backup to save a copy of your file. Keep it on a USB drive, your own cloud, or give a copy to someone you trust.
Adding an add-on later
Each purchase gives you its own license key by email. If you buy an add-on or the Bundle separately from your first purchase, open Life on Track and enter each key where prompted — they combine automatically and nothing is lost. No need to start over.
How updates work
When an update is ready, we let you know by email — you then update from inside the app: open Settings → Updates and choose Check for Updates. Updates do not give Life on Track access to your private household file. Your private file remains under your control.
Review & Backup basics
A backup is the separate copy that covers a lost or damaged device, or an installed app deleted by accident — so please make one. Open Review & Backup in the top toolbar, choose Create New Backup, and keep it somewhere safe: a USB drive, your own cloud storage, or with someone you trust. To move to a new device, install Life on Track there first, then choose Restore From Backup.
If you clear your browsing data
Clearing history and cookies is a normal thing to do, and Life on Track is built so it does not have to cost you your file. On a Windows computer or an Android device your information stays in the folder you chose — reopen Life on Track, point it to that folder again, and pick up where you left off. On an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, keep using the installed icon rather than a Safari tab. If anything looks missing, do not start re-typing: follow the recovery steps on the support page or email us first.
