After you choose a file on the pricing page, your setup email includes your license key — then come back here to open the app and enter it.

Lost your key? Look it up yourself anytime at My Orders using your purchase email — no need to contact us. Still stuck? Email support with your purchase email, product name, device, and browser. Do not send private household details or backup files.

Setup

Add it to your phone or computer.

Adding Life on Track to your home screen makes it open like an app — one tap, full screen, no typing the address each time.

For the smoothest install on a computer, use Chrome or Edge. On an iPad or iPhone, use Safari. Life on Track still works in other browsers — these just give the cleanest “add to home screen” step.

Your license activates Life on Track on up to 3 devices — and you can deactivate a device yourself anytime from inside the app. Devices do not sync automatically; move your information when you choose, using your backup file.

Open the app

Tap Open the app above. Life on Track opens in your browser with a calm welcome screen.

On iPhone or iPad (Safari)

Tap the Share button (the square with an up arrow), then choose Add to Home Screen. Life on Track will appear as an icon with your other apps.

On Android (Chrome)

Tap the three-dot menu in the corner, then choose Add to Home screen (or Install app).

On a computer (Chrome or Edge)

Look for the small install icon at the right edge of the address bar, or open the menu and choose Install Life on Track. It will open in its own window.

Start with the Guided Setup

Inside the app, the Guided Setup walks you through the most important details first. You don’t have to finish in one sitting — come back anytime.

Your file lives in your browser on your device. If you clear browser data, switch devices, or lose the device without a backup, Life on Track cannot recover your private file because it was never stored on our servers. Create a backup early (next step).

You don’t need to do everything at once. Start here and you’ll already have something your family could use.

Add your key people

Spouse or partner, adult children, a trusted neighbor, and your main doctor. Just names and phone numbers to start.

Fill in the Emergency Info

Allergies, medications, blood type, and who has medical decision-making authority. This is the page a trusted person needs most.

Map where your papers are kept

You’re not uploading documents — just noting where the will, insurance, and IDs live (home safe, kitchen folder, attorney).

Create your backup

Open Backup & Restore in Settings and choose Download My Backup Copy to save a copy of your file. Keep it on a USB drive, your own cloud, or give a copy to someone you trust.

Never store passwords in Life on Track. Record where accounts are and who to call — not logins. Keep passwords in a dedicated password manager.

Purchased the Complete Family Bundle? After setting up your own household file, look for Additional Households & Caregiving in your workspace. That is where you add a separate household — for a parent, spouse, or loved one you help manage — kept fully separate inside your same private file. You can add up to 4 additional households alongside your own.

Adding an add-on later

Each purchase gives you its own license key by email. If you buy an add-on or the Bundle separately from your first purchase, open Life on Track and enter each key where prompted — they combine automatically and nothing is lost. No need to start over.

How updates work

When an update is ready, we let you know by email — you then update from inside the app: open Settings → Updates & Backup and choose Check for Updates. Updates do not give Life on Track access to your private household file. Your private file remains under your control.

Backup & restore basics

Your private file stays in your browser, so your backup matters. Create a backup early and keep it somewhere safe, such as a USB drive, your own cloud storage, or with someone you trust. To move to a new device, open Life on Track on your old device, create a backup, then choose Restore My Backup Copy on the new device.
